Granada

Our second face-to-face Rock Your Research consortium meeting brought partners together in the vibrant city of Granada, hosted by the inspiring team at Medialab UGR – Social Innovation Lab of the University of Granada

Over two intensive days, project partners shared insights from the first Rock It Cafés, and reflected on what these early experiments revealed about bringing artists, researchers and citizens into meaningful dialogue.

The meeting also focused on what comes next: the launch of the Rock It Map, showcasing inspiring art–science–citizen initiatives from across Europe; a second Rock It Café; and the upcoming Rock It Labs in Málaga, Granada and Växjö. Vetenskap & Allmänhet and ACEEU presented early findings from interviews and mapping exercises across Europe, highlighting practices that can inspire both the project and other institutions seeking to strengthen connections between research and society.

Beyond planning, the gathering reaffirmed a shared conviction: that emotion, creativity and artistic approaches have a vital role to play in how knowledge is created and shared. Surrounded by Granada’s rich cultural atmosphere, partners  strengthened collaborations and renewed their commitment to building bridges between art and science.
